Gerald Parker - President
Gerry has been in the home furnishings and design business for several years having served in various capacites at EXPO Design Centers, the nations largest high-end design and remodeling brand. His last assignment as Senior Vice President included overseeing store operations, marketing, design, purchasing and home installations.
In 2001 he became the majority stockholder at Distinctive Window Treatment Plus and took on the assignment as President of the Company in 2003. In addition to the day to day responsibilities, he focuses on strategy, electronics, and consulting for his design and architect clients.
Gerry holds a double major with an undergraduate degree in Design Engineering and Pharmacological Science from Minnesota where he earned the High Honors distinction. He later earned a Masters in Management from Johns Hopkins, in addition to studying business and mathematics in graduate school at MIT and California/Irvine.
Avraham Farahnik - Vice President
Avi brings years of experience from the fashion business to Distinctive Window Treatments. His broad knowledge of high-end fabrics, color and design has helped move the business to a broader application in soft window treatments.
He came to the business in 2003 and has taken on the responsibility for production and operations, in addition to sales.
Avi holds his BS in International Business from Hofstra University and recently completed his MBA at the University of Miami.
Jane Parker - Corporate Secretary and CFO
Jane has worked for two major public accounting firms, Deloitte, Haskins & Sells and Lavanthol. She also spent several years as Controller for a large real estate holdings company in Southern California.
Jane is responsible for all accounting, tax and licensing of the business. She holds an advanced degree from Suffolk University in Boston and has been a CPA for almost 20 years. |
