At Distinctive Windows, our window treatments are made to withstand, as much as it is possible, stains from dirt, dust and soil. Our fabrics are specifically engineered to require minimal cleaning and care. In order to keep your fabrics looking their best we recommend regular dusting and bi-monthly vacuuming.
For warranty and/or repair service, please contact us directly. We will work with you to repair your damaged hardware or window fashions.
In specific situations, window fabrics can be changed without removing the existing hardware. For specific information on changing your window fabrics please contact us directly.
Installation and workmanship is covered for a 1 year period. Most motorized products come with a 5-year limited warranty from the manufacturer.
Control is a key part of overall motorized shade system design. There are two types of control; Stand Alone and Integrated Control Systems. These systems can be controlled through wireless technology, using infrared, or more commonly radio frequency (RF) or can be hard-wired switched. The term ‘hard-wired’ means that the shade motor has a physical control wire that is connected to a wall switch or keypad/touch screen. In terms of flexibility, individual and group settings can easily be set with both systems. Integrated Control is in some ways more sophisticated and allows for specific scenarios (morning, bedtime, party, away etc) which incorporate lights, AC and A/V to create a total home ‘scene’.
